Prior to joining Spotify as Global Head of Video Monetization, Brian served as Global CRO for the programmatic video distribution platform Virool. At Virool, he helped refocus the Silicon Valley firm from inside sales to Fortune 100 brands, Agency Holding Companies and Trading desks by launching new SaaS commercial models and forging global partnerships with key customers.
Previous to Virool, he was Head of Sales & Sales Strategy for Videology in the Americas Region. As the company’s first sales person hired in 2008, Brian spent the next 6 years building a 100MM+ sales organization that pivoted three times: First, from destination site to video network, then from video network to platform and again to a multi-channel SaaS offering with a focus on addressable video convergence.
Earlier in his career, Brian was VP of National Sales for the MCN Ripe Digital Entertainment, East Coast Director for the launch of professionally produced video app Joost (later acquired by Adconion) and he was the first Account Executive hired at in-game advertising firm Massive, Inc. (acquired by MSFT during his tenure.) Previous to his digital media career, Brian spent five years in various sales roles for television sports networks in the Comcast portfolio as well as Turner Broadcasting’s CNN network.
Brian lives in Pelham, NY with his wife Stacie and three daughters
